Cooking is an art form to me and good cookware is essential. I have just recently been introduced to Fissler INTENSA cooking line. The features are what really amaze me. Not only does this cooking system look totally modern, but every facet of the cookware is smart for the cook!
I have my eye on the 2.4 Quart Casserole with ThermoStar tempature indicator, Cookstar base and special pouring function built into the pan. Each feature here is designed to help reduce time, cook evenly and reduce energy consumption.
Fissler thinks of every aspect of the cooking experience, putting serious chefs or just the weekend enthusiast in better control of the cooking process.

Doing some remodeling recently, I have never been more aware of the amount of chemicals and cleaning products you can bring in to your home to finish the job. Cleaning was a big effort after our home improvements and cleaning supplies, like detergents, brushes, scrubbers all seemed both wasteful and un-recyclable once they were used up.I came across some great environmentally-friendly cleaning products that I thought I would share. Check out Goodbye Detergent! They have interesting scrub, scouring and cleaning pads made with unique materials such as recycled corn cobs, peach pits, & walnut shells.
These scrubs and pads are reusable and have natural abrasives that make it easier to clean with no detergents.
Check out their original Spaghetti Scrubs made with corn cobs!

I come from a long line of women who are passionate about art and the artist's vision to create something that never existed before - an interpretation of shapes, designs, textures and color. As a child of the 70s, I think pop art is just in my blood. I have saved every album cover I ever owned. I love working in vintage clothing with a modern flare and when it comes to household design - modern classics are what I adore. So it was totally serendipitous that I was introduced to Teo Jasmin and their latest collection of amazing cushions, armchairs, wall art and more.
Teo Jasmin offers home decor that combines epic pop art classics with the sophistication and fashion legacy of Brigette Bardot in Paris to the taxi and sky line of the Big Apple.
In learning more about Teo Jasmin's collection, the best way to describe their style is through pictures. If you love sass and sophistication, you gotta love Teo Jasmin's Doggy Queen and vibrant flare of London style. These pieces and their accessories are Extraordinique!
Be sure to check out Teo Jasmin's other items, including fashionable stickers for your correspondence too. I know a few who'd love the Doggy Queen collection, especially this one, entitled King Harry!Web site | Where to Buy
Last weekend, I got the bug to tackle the closets with Spring cleaning in mind. In doing so, I was disheartened to see how many wire hangers and dry cleaning plastic wrappers I had lying on the floor. Struggling to figure out what to do with them I researched that most local recycling plants will accept wire hangers, but these darn plastic garment bags are not as easy to recycle. With that said, I was thinking there had to be a better way to reduce the amount of plastic used for transport from the dry cleaners to our home, 1 block away. I am happy to find today, the Green Garmento, a reusable dry cleaning bag that works like a hamper and a take home garment bag from your dry cleaners.
This versatile and very smart idea, gets right to the point of what I saw laying on the floor. The Green Garmento says, "Be fantastic and use less plastic!"
Take a look and see what you think.

This weekend we are headed to the coast to enjoy the remaining days of summer. We typically pack an assortment of goodies to eat throughout the day. The last time we made the trip to Bodega Bay, we stopped off at our favorite Whole Foods Market to pick up some items as well as some forgotten paper plates and utensils. Not realizing there was a better, more eco-friendly alternative available, I was happy to find bambu Veneerware plates and picnic utensil packs. Excited to see bambu was a great alternative to paper plates and plastic forks, we felt good about the fact that bambu plates biodegrade naturally within 4-6 months after disposal. It was also good to know that there are no bleaches or dyes in their product. Their products are made from bamboo peeled directly from the stalk and bamboo is recognized as a highly renewable resource.
Sturdy and stylish, bambu was great for our picnic at the beach. Thin like paper plates, we were surprised how durable they held up with fruit salad and other saucy delights.
I love bambu's philosophy and guiding principles for their commitment to eco-smart innovation. "We exist to create interest and excitement around renewable materials and sustainable practices; we do that with original design, innovation and imagination."
Now, that's Extraordinique!

This
summer, I have been looking to do something fun and dimensional in an
entry way to enhance the space. I have been looking for something with
versatility and personality. dVider decals seem to provide that simple
and artistic solution that can be added for any occasion and refresh
your room's personality in style.
With this post, dVider stickers, in my opinion, can speak for themselves.
