Our Backstory

Extraordinique is our opportunity to share our passion for the extraordinary and unique. For years, we have been clipping, tagging, and bookmarking things we think are “cool”, unusual, even inspirational. We’ve shared our bookmarks socially to which our friends have shared them and their friends have shared them, and so on.

Coming back from a trip to New York City in April 2007, we had tons of photos, text messages, emails, clippings, and tear sheets of amazing finds we encountered in NYC. Putting them all together, I realized any system we had in place to store and share was disparate and inadequate to tell our story well.

If nothing else, Extraordinique is our way to catalog our favorite finds and share them with those who share our same appreciation for cutting-edge gadgets and gizmos, unique design in form and function, and innovation that pushes convention, influences and inspires.

Extraordinique highlights artists, designers and innovators who are pushing the envelope, creating new things and influencing our day-to-day life in extraordinary ways.

About the Team

Extraordinique is a small team of 30-somethings from California who have found success in life, love, and career. We are passionate about style, fashion, design, technology, architecture, food and wine, the outdoors, traveling, family, friends, and our pets – not necessarily in this order. Each of us brings a unique background and colorful perspective to what we capture here at Extraordinique.

We are rapidly looking to extend and expand the capabilities for better two-way interaction and inviting more contributors to the mix.

With every passion, the desire to do more is always the quest. For now, we hope Extraordinique satisfies your craving for all things extraordinary and unique – with the promise of more to come.
